hi i'm in canberra and have been since sunday. its now thursday.. i am on work placement at the health centre.. besides hating canberra and everything about it.. lol sorry.. but newcastle rules.. lol.. i have decided today wasd a good day to go on the road with one of the nurses just to see what happens on the other side of the road to my profession..
1. we saw a lady who had a masectomy.. ie. got her breast removed due to cancer.. lets call the nurse pam.. pam changed the dressing and put on a new bag for the drainage system.. which completes the excessive lymph.. also noticing some infection in the wound dressed under the axilla and recommended she see her doctor..
2. we saw a man who had severe arthritis and had a large abyss under the foot that wouldnt go away.. still redressing it. and waiting for appointment with podiatrist.. noticed falls risks such as loose persianm rugs.. slippery wooden steps.. and an inappropriate stool in the shower..
lol that will do.. i'll add the other ones i saw later.. i need some lunch..
